Zenith InteriorsMulti-Regional Product Directory website

Task

When first engaged by Zenith Interiors, it was to support their legacy PHP website that was nearing 10 years old. After providing the needed support for more than a year, Zenith Interiors appointed us as their dedicated custom software development agency, and tasked us to Scope and Build them a new custom website that reflected both their new branding and would also make it a lot easier for them to manage their large product list and substantial website content.

Outcome
We began the process with an in-depth technical scoping phase where we were able to develop a plan and strategy to build an Umbraco website with great UX and aesthetics that also has a lot of complex features. Zenith Interiors had a long list of requirements for which we had to develop a multitude of advanced features to meet. From the results of our intensive scoping phase, we then worked with Zenith’s design team to come up with a great layout for the website design and development.

With a product list of over a thousand, Zenith also needed an intricate bulk upload tool to capture all of their products’ unique features like; descriptions, prices ranges, categories, dimensions, lead times, finish colour swatches, product images, relating products, related projects and much more. We also set up a multi-region system to cover Australia, New Zealand and Asia, which is capable of sharing various and unique content across these different regions, including the product content and languages. With our custom development solutions, we came up with an in-depth filtering functionality for their products, projects, news blog, resource assets, and site search.

Within the Umbraco CMS, we were also able to create a custom EDM builder tool that Zenith uses to generate HTML EDMs that can be easily integrated into their Email Campaign Software. All of this was just within Phase 1 of the site.

As part of the Phase 2 site development, we developed an eCommerce solution to manage Clearance stock across their warehouses in all three geographical regions of Australia, New Zealand, and Asia. This involved developing custom business systems that can handle tasks such as unique warehouse requirements and product management, integration with Stripe payment gateway, multi-currency management and more.

Further future phases are due to include custom quoting functionality and integration with product ordering fulfilment systems along with other great features.

Overall, the custom software development costs for Zenith Interiors’ website are a small fraction compared to the time saving features and other added benefits that they receive from their new website. Zenith can now control virtually every aspect of their website’s look-and-feel via the Umbraco CMS while providing them with a multitude of features that saves them large amounts of time through automation, integration, and easy management that also results in significant reductions in manual labour costs. It is a project that we are immensely proud of and has resulted in a very satisfied customer.
