WonderUsSleep Stories App for iOS and Android
Task
Code Brewery was brought on to help a Sydney start-up bring their children’s wellbeing app to market. WonderUs delivers sleep stories and audio tracks designed to affirm wellbeing and wonder in children, distributed as a subscription-based app for iOS and Android tablets and mobile devices with a global audience.
Outcome
WonderUs came to Code Brewery seeking local support to get their product market-ready. After reviewing the existing codebase, it was clear that significant work was needed on both the app and back-end systems to reach launch quality.
Working closely with the founders, we refined the UX and built for stability and scalability from day one. The app now features in-app purchasing with discount coupon support, a built-in audio player with animated visuals, multi-tiered subscription options, dynamic content loading, category filtering, and a notifications system to alert users to new content.
On the back-end, we developed a custom admin dashboard in ASP.NET with APIs for member management, content management, and reporting. The hosting environment uses Microsoft Azure CDN, ensuring audio streams are delivered globally without delay while keeping costs manageable as the user base grows.
