WonderUsSleep Stories App for iOS and Android

Task

Brought onboard as the software development agency to support a local start-up develop an app that shares sleep stories and audio tracks that help affirm well-being and wonder in children. The requirement was to take on the development of their hybrid, subscription-based mobile and tablet application, that would be launched to a global market for iOS and Android.

Outcome

WonderUs came to us looking for local support to get their app-based-business to market. After reviewing the existing code of both the partially built app and the back-end, we realised that significant work was required to complete the app and management system to get it to a market-ready state.

Working closely with the client, we developed a plan for the UX of the app and many of its intricate features. We focused on the architecture of the app to ensure stability and scalability as the app grows in usage. The app boasts an impressive list of features including; in-app purchasing with discount coupon code functionality, built-in audio player with graphic animations, multi-levelled membership subscriptions, dynamic content loading, a filtering and category framework, and a notifications system to keep users updated on new content.

Our software development team also developed a custom made admin dashboard built in ASP.NET along with custom APIs, that enable member management, content management, and reporting tools in the back-end to ensure the success of this enterprising start-up. We also established a scalable hosting environment using the Microsoft Azure CDN for this audio streaming app, which not only reduces hosting costs but also ensures the media files are being served globally without interruption or delay.
