NSW Premier’s DepartmentRole Description Builder Application
Task
Following a successful tender process, Code Brewery was engaged by the NSW Government to rebuild a web-based Role Description Builder for use across all NSW state government agencies. The goal was to streamline how hiring managers create role descriptions while ensuring alignment with the NSW Public Sector Capability Framework and relevant Occupation Specific Capability Sets.
Outcome
The new platform gives hiring managers a straightforward way to input role details, ensuring consistency and compliance across departments. Role descriptions can be saved, revisited, and exported as accessible, standards-compliant Word documents.
With an intuitive interface replacing a largely manual process, the tool improves efficiency and accuracy across the NSW Government’s recruitment framework. Saved role descriptions have no expiry, allowing hiring managers to return to previously generated roles and adapt them for new positions as needed.
