Resene Paints, working with agency partner Medium Rare Content, needed a standalone website to engage male DIY enthusiasts in New Zealand. The strategy was clear: draw this audience in with compelling content, then guide them to resene.com for product information and purchasing. Code Brewery was engaged to deliver a fully custom, mobile-first solution with enterprise-grade security.
Outcome
MasterStroke by Resene now serves as a dedicated content hub that captures and nurtures a specific customer segment before directing them to Resene’s main platform. The site features a sleek, modern design aligned with the MasterStroke brand identity.
Key capabilities include a unified search function that returns results from both MasterStroke and the primary Resene website, a paint volume calculator, integrated YouTube content, newsletter subscription, user feedback mechanisms with content upload functionality, and social sharing tools.
The site runs on a flexible content block system rather than restrictive templates, giving the Resene team full control over layout and content. This lean WordPress approach avoids plugin bloat and ensures the site can evolve with their needs.
Resene entrusted Code Brewery with ongoing hosting and support, with security measures meeting the high standards required by both organisations.
