WonderUsSleep Stories App for iOS and Android

Task

Help a local start up to develop a hybrid, subscription based app for iOS and Android, available on mobile and tablet, that they could launch across global markets and manage via a back-end admin portal.

Outcome

Although the client came to us with a partially built existing app to start with, after reviewing the existing code, much work was required to complete the app and back-end and the bulk of existing elements needed to be scrapped and rebuilt.

Working closely with the client, we helped plan the way forward for the UX of the app and many of it’s intricate features, whilst also driving the architecture to ensure stability as the app grows in usage. Within the app we implemented many great features including; in app purchasing with coupon code functionality, built in audio player with graphic animations, multi-levelled membership subscriptions, dynamic content loading, a filtering and category framework, and a notifications system to name just some of them.

In the back-end we have developed a complete member management platform, content management, reporting tools and much more to help ensure the success of this enterprising start-up. The media files are also being served using the Azure CDN to reduce hosting costs and improve resource delivery globally.
